Times are tough right now for non-profits around the province. We here at AARCS have been doing everything in our power to bring in a little extra money to help care for the animals. About 2 months ago we set up a container to accept empty bottles. It had a place were people could drop cans/bottles off even when we were not here. It had a top and a lock to deter theft.
However, on Friday night these two people scoped out the place at about 11:45pm and returned not long later and stole everything. They used a fire extinguisher to attempt to block their faces and used a long pole covering our camera with plastic bag, cut the lock and emptied our container filled with bottles.
We are deeply sadden that people feel it's OK to steal from a charity. If you have any information please call us. *NOTE: The white Ford truck in the video is the AARCS rescue truck*
